Our Materials

The type of material your sign will be made of will be determined by your decision to get your sign dimensionally routed or to have it printed. If your sign is dimensionally routed, then it will be made out of a urethane material called sign foam. If you choose to have your sign printed, then it will be made out of a material called Komatex.

Sign foam is a dense material that resists warping and cracking. It is better to work with for projects that require routing. Sign foam also absorbs paint very well, which makes it perfect for your dimensionally routed sign.

Komatex is a material similar to PVC, and it has a hard outer surface that is nice for applying prints to. It too will also resist warping and cracking and is safe to be used outdoors.
